The origins of the term New Age seems to be rather obscure, although In the late 19th century Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, cofounder of the Theosophical Society, announced a coming New Age. It became a common term in the late 60’s and 70’s when people were looking for an alternative to the traditional viewpoints on life. Since that time, a flood of new age books and newage products have been steadily increasing.
Popular with a wide range of age groups, new age gifts often take the form of books, which, in the more recent digital age, includes the convenience of e-books. If you’re looking for a unique gift idea, check out the list of e-books on this site.
